Looking to protect yourself from fraud, identity theft, and scams? Wondering about the best way to improve your credit, shop for a used car, or keep your kids safe online?
Ridgedale FCU has information for you during National Consumer Protection Week (NCPW) March 2 – 8, 2025, and any time of the year. NCPW is a time when government agencies, consumer protection groups, and organizations like RFCU work together to share information about consumer rights and help people learn to spot, report, and avoid scams.
The entire RFCU team will participate including CEO Linda Rheiner who states “Consumer Protection awareness is part of the credit unions’ mission: to empower our members to protect themselves from unfair business tactics and identity theft. It is our job to educate our staff and our members too!”
During National Consumer Protection Week:
- Help yourself to booklets on how to avoid scams, identity theft and more located in our branch lobby.
- Watch our social pages for articles, tips and more.
- Go to FTC.gov to subscribe to receive consumer alerts and gov/ncpw to learn how to get free consumer education materials — including advice in a dozen languages — and read the latest from consumer protection experts.
